This is what I have so far on the Wildermuth Newkirk lines. Both families came over in the early 1700s. At that time there was a book printed in England that was named as "The Golden Book" or something like that. It described the Pennsylvania countryside as lush and easily tilled.........kind of an advertisement of sorts.
So people from Europe came over and started to populate the land. I think the Wildermuths and Newkirks were two of those families.
As I find out more, I will change these statements and post!
