Chenango County} On this 27th day of August November in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty one thirty nine. personally appeared before the Court of Chancery of the State of New York, held at Greene in said County of Chernango. Present Robert Monde Vice Chancellor of the Sixth Circuit, Olive Rathbone a resident of Greene in Said County of Chenango aged 84~ year who being first duly sworn according to law & oath in her oath made the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the pension made by the act of Congress paper July 71th 1835 entitled "an act granting [half?] pay and pension to certain widows" [or the act of July 4, 1836 as did[?] appear. That she is the widow of Moses Rathbone who was a private in the war of the Revolution and who served in said Revolution as deponent has always understood and believe, true as follows. That in 1775 he was in Service as a private in Capt Levi Wells Company 7 months and six days.
    That in 1776 in the Summer he was drafted for three months in a company commanded by captain James Ranbone on Captain Nathaniel Harris in the Regiment Commanded by  Colonel Dyer Thorpe of East Haddans and that he was [?] in active service under said [?][?] months.

She further declares that she was married to the said Moses Rathbone on the fifth day of November in the year in the year Seventeen hundred and Seventy six at Coldwater in Connecticut, that her husband the aforesaid Moses Rathbone died on the 9th day of April - one thousand eight hundred and twenty two

On this the 27th day of November 1840, personally appeared before me the Court of the Chancery held at Green in said County. Present Robert Mirell, Vice Chancellor of the [?] Circuit Elijah Rathbone of said Green who being [?][?]days  he is 47 - years of age and is the son of Moses and Olive Rathborn and [?] said Olive has not married since the death of said Moses and claim said Olive lives with deponent and that there is no record of the marriage of Said Moses and Olive in their family to deponents knowledge
